The Montessori School is an independent school, offering AMI Montessori education in Fairfield County, Connecticut since 1964. We are a family-oriented community deeply rooted in Montessori philosophy and practice and committed to Dr. Montessori’s vision of educating the whole child. We serve children from 14 months or “walking”, (Toddler) through 14 years (Middle School) and are currently hiring.
The Montessori School community is inclusive and built on the tenets of collaborative relationships and respect. The school believes in sharing what we have with those in need and encouraging children to learn to live responsibly in the world. We welcome dedicated, fun loving, hardworking individuals to bring their talents and skills to our children and families. Located in Lower Fairfield Country, we offer a competitive salary package. We are committed to creating a diverse environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
Our Toddler, Primary, Lower and Upper Elementary classrooms are all led by AMI trained Directors/resses who are trained at the appropriate level. Our Middle School and Specialist teachers all have backgrounds in their particular subject matter as well as broader educational fields.
All applicants for Classroom Director/ress must hold AMI diplomas at the appropriate level. It is desired that applicants for positions at the Middle School level have completed or are in the process of taking the AMI Adolescent course.
