Montessori School Giving Philosophy

The Development effort at The Montessori School blends the essential work of raising funds for our school with a philosophy that each family's active participation in the life and health of the school creates a vital community.  The donation of time, talent and resource demonstrates to the children the adults' support of their school and creates meaningful, enduring relationships between families and the school. 

The combination of annual giving, a collection of fundraising events and income from the investment of our endowment bridge the financial gap that exists between tuition revenue and operating expense. We create the gap deliberately, as we are committed to moderate tuition for all and robust tuition assistance while providing the highest quality Montessori education.  We believe that it takes more that writing a tuition check to live meaningfully in a community.

Involvement

We are a school that recognizes and highly values collaborative work between parents and staff. As we work together to build a community that is strong philosophically, financially and pedagogically, we rely on the many and varied contributions of our Montessori parents, alumni and friends.
