Head of School
Lisa Potter

Welcome to The Montessori School, and thank you for your interest in our school.  Choosing a strong foundation for your child’s early education is one of the most important things you will do as a parent, and I invite you to explore our website to learn more about Montessori educational philosophy, our history and mission.

As Dr. Montessori observed, children learn with wonder, joy and confidence if provided the correct environment. When you explore our beautiful seven-acre campus, you can witness the excitement of children learning and playing, feel the energy of teachers and students interacting, and join a welcoming community to share ideas and ask questions.

For over 50 years, we have consistently cultivated an atmosphere of excellence and mutual respect through close relationships among teachers, students and families, and our teaching staff have decades of experience and passion for the Montessori philosophy. The Montessori School offers an intentionally diverse community—a diversity of perspectives and ethnicities, as well as socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds —because we believe these lead children to a greater understanding and appreciation for the world.

Please take your time exploring our website.  I hope it inspires you to come for a visit to see first-hand the joy of learning that takes place every day at The Montessori School!

Warmly,

Lisa B.A. Potter
